Neptune has developed links with sporting, educational and artistic organisations around the country and we are proud to provide support through sponsorship. All of our partnerships celebrate dynamism, conviction and teamwork, while promoting the nurturing of raw talent.

National Theatre

National Theatre logo

We’ve been a Partner of the National Theatre since 2009 and were originally the Cottesloe Partner, sponsoring four productions a year including the award-winning The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Collaborators, which both won the Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2013 and 2012 respectively.

Whilst the Cottesloe was being regenerated as part of the NT Future project, we became the Shed Partner and were proud to support new work which was adventurous, ambitious and unexpected. Critically acclaimed productions including Carrie Cracknell’s Blurred Lines and Michaela Coel’s Chewing Gum Dreams, plays which were designed to entice a new, younger generation to the National Theatre.

Now we are excited to continue the next phase of our partnership with the NT, as the Dorfman Partner, sponsoring all of the productions in the newly regenerated theatre which boasts an intimate and flexible space. Neptune is a dynamic and innovative fund management company, qualities that we see reflected in the Dorfman Theatre, making our partnership a natural collaboration. The potential of the Dorfman to showcase anything from rediscovered classic drama to cutting edge contemporary productions embodies Neptune’s desire to help extend the appeal of theatre to all. The first play on the new stage, Here Lies Love, recently won the Beyond Theatre Evening Standard award for pushing the boundaries of musical theatre.

In collaboration with the NT, we also fund an outreach project for five schools in our local borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. The project enables teachers and students alike to utilise the wide range of workshops and classes offered by the National Theatre and extends our commitment to support young people’s involvement in the creative arts.

Neptune City Sevens

Neptune City Sevens logo

We are the sponsor of the Neptune City Sevens rugby tournament, a Sevens competition for firms associated with the City of London. We are proud to support a tournament that for over 40 years has promoted amateur sporting endeavour and teamwork. Moreover, all the money raised goes to our nominated charity – Child Bereavement UK (CBUK). Now in the fifth year of Neptune’s sponsorship, the tournament has raised over £100,000 for CBUK.

CBUK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child dies, or when a child is facing bereavement. Each year they deliver training to around 500 professionals at the front line of bereavement support. We are honoured to work with CBUK and its fantastic team of supporters, helping families in need during these difficult times.

To enter a team for the 2015 tournament on Sunday 10 May or to find out more, simply visit neptunecitysevens.com or follow us on Twitter (@NeptuneCity7) or Follow us on Facebook (Neptune City Sevens).

Horse Racing

Neptune Badge logo

Neptune is the proud sponsor of the Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle Series which consists of seven races taking place across Cheltenham, Sandown, Ascot and Warwick racecourses, culminating at the Cheltenham Festival in March each year. The races are designed to develop top-flight staying hurdlers and chasers for the future.

Every year the Series brings to the fore a future champion. This is what defines the ‘Neptune’, as it has become affectionately known, races that continue to be the launch pad for so many future champions. At Neptune we pride ourselves in nurturing and developing young talent whether this is our own employees or through educational, sporting and arts projects. By the same token, we are committed to providing opportunities through the Neptune Investment Management Series for the National Hunt champions of the future.

The Tennis & Rackets Association

The Tennis & Rackets Association logo

We are the lead sponsor of The Tennis & Rackets Association (T&RA), supporting key real tennis and rackets tournaments throughout the sporting calendar. We also fully support the work undertaken by the T&RA with clubs and schools to heighten the profiles of real tennis and rackets and widen accessibility of the sports.

Our commitment to tennis and rackets has also led to our sponsorship of the Oxford University Tennis Club (OUTC), the Ladies Real Tennis Association (LRTA) and funding a Summer coaching programme for talented youngsters.

We not only support these sports at grassroots level, but at the Championship level too. In April 2012, we sponsored the Real Tennis World Championship at The Queen’s Club, London, where Rob Fahey, successfully defended his title for a record-breaking eleventh time.

For further information about real tennis and rackets please visit www.tennisandrackets.com.

TEDxOxford logo

We are the exclusive title sponsor of TEDxOxford. Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” TEDx events are designed to give communities the opportunity to stimulate dialogue at the local level. TEDxOxford is brought to the city by a passionate team of entrepreneurial and committed young students at Oxford University, targeting 16-25 year olds.

Bringing together some of the world’s leading trendsetters and change-makers, speakers have included Vidal Sassoon, Sky Arts TV star James Rhodes (a classical pianist), Baroness Susan Greenfield (British neuroscientist) and Laura Bates (Everyday Sexism project).

Now the largest TEDx conference in the UK, the 2015 event was held on 18 January at the New Theatre and had an inspiring line-up. Speakers on the day included Sama Dizayee (an Iraqi journalist who discussed the role and responsibilities of journalists); Armand Leroi (the renowned evolutionary biologist) and Zelda La Grange (honorary goddaughter of Nelson Mandela who spoke of her personal experience during the days of South African Apartheid.)

The event has gone from strength to strength and our continued support will enable the event to reach out to more young people (and thousands more via their YouTube videos). At Neptune, we believe that an idea worth having is an idea worth sharing. That’s why supporting TEDxOxford is such a natural collaboration for us.

Keble College Boat Club

Keble College Boat Club logo

Neptune sponsors Keble College Boat Club (KCBC) at Oxford University. The Club participates in many events, such as the Summer Eights – Oxford’s main intercollegiate rowing event – as well as National events, including the Marlow Regatta and the Henley Royal Regatta.

The Club is proud to have had two members included as part of the Oxford crew in the University Boat Race in recent years. It is one of the best equipped teams on the river and, with our support, we hope that the Club continues to excel.

We are proud to support a club which shares our core values of integrity and teamwork. KCBC is dedicated to encouraging new talent whilst being committed to providing a supporting platform for keen rowers, many of whom go on to compete at university, national and international level. Moreover, our sponsorship of the Club is part of our continued support of Oxford University and its students – nurturing and developing young talent.

Oxford University Rowing Clubs

Oxford University Rowing Clubs logo

We are the official sponsor of Oxford University Rowing Clubs (OURC) and their four organised regattas – the Torpids, Summer Eights, Autumn IVs and the Isis Winter League. OURC is the governing body of the sport of rowing at Oxford and is made up of the 28 captains from the college clubs and oversees three thousand rowers of all levels.

Becoming sponsors of OURC is a natural extension of our longstanding affiliation with Keble College Boat Club. We are pleased that once again our overarching support of the sport at grassroots level enables so many young oarsmen and women to develop their potential to become tomorrow’s Varsity Boat Race ‘Blues’ and national and international rowing champions.

Neptune has a lot in common with rowing. Successful fund management, like success on the river, takes rigorous preparation, instinctive timing and a shared vision to stay ahead. Moreover, the support of OURC further highlights our commitment to Oxford University and its students.

Old Amplefordian Rugby Football Club

Old Amplefordian Rugby Football Club logo

Neptune is the exclusive sponsor of the Old Amplefordian Rugby Football Club (OAs). The Club, founded in 1985, is based in South West London and now has over 100 members, including a few of Neptune’s own employees.

The Club began as a social side but following increased interest joined the Surrey Leagues in 2000. The 2009/2010 season saw the beginnings of a new phase within the Club. Our support, a talented coaching team and an influx of young players, both from Ampleforth College and elsewhere, helped pushed the Club up the League table. This all came to a climax at the end of this 2012/2013 season with the Club being crowned champions of Surrey League 3. The OAs now play in the Surrey League 2 for the 2014-2015 season.

The OAs share our belief in the value of teamwork, vision and consistency, and we hope that with our continued backing the team will continue to grow from strength to strength.

To find out more about the club, visit www.oarfc.com.

Oxford University Lacrosse Club

Oxford University Lacrosse Club logo

We are the exclusive sponsor of Oxford University Lacrosse Club comprising of men's, women's and mixed teams.

Lacrosse is a fun and fast game, originally played by Native Americans, using a rubber ball and long handled stick with a netted "head". It has been played in the UK for over a hundred years and enjoyed in Oxford for most of that time.

Our sponsorship will hopefully help to transform the Club by providing funding for a new coach, thereby improving the standard of play at the highest level, but also encouraging far more students to participate in lacrosse regularly.

Supporting sport among young people is at the core of our sponsorship portfolio. We are delighted that this year our support contributed to the women’s and men’s team’s success at their annual Varsity Match.

To find out more about the club, visit www.oxforduniversitylacrosse.co.uk.

Oxford University Women’s Rugby Football Club (OUWRFC)

Oxford University Women’s Rugby Football Club logo

Neptune is the proud sponsor of Oxford University Women’s Rugby Football Club. Women’s rugby is one of the few full Blues sports at Oxford University, a privilege that the Club has maintained through dedication, teamwork and determination.

The Club has approximately forty players and fields two teams: the Blues and the Panthers. OUWRFC Blues play in the British Universities & College Sports (BUCS) Premiership South, whilst the Panthers play a series of friendly matches. Both teams compete in the annual Varsity Match against Cambridge University.

Our sponsorship provides the Club with the funding they need for travel, equipment and training. Furthermore, our support is part of our ongoing drive to encourage more women into sport at the grassroots level. We look forward to working with the Club, helping them move their annual Varsity Match from Iffley Road to Twickenham Stadium in 2015, to play alongside their male peers.

To find out more about the Club, visit www.ouwrfc.co.uk.

Oxford University Rugby Fives Club

Oxford Rugby Fives Logo

Neptune is the exclusive sponsor of the Oxford University Rugby Fives Club. Rugby Fives is a court game dating back to 1857 and is most easily described nowadays to non-players as ‘squash-with-your-hands.'

Our sponsorship will help support the Club to achieve its goals: consistent wins at the Varsity match; success at the British Universities & College Sports (BUCS) league games and other tournaments; raising awareness of Oxford Rugby Fives amongst Oxford students and producing future champions of the sport.

Our sponsorship is an extension of our support for real tennis and racket games, increasing their appeal and making them more accessible to a younger generation.

To find out more about Rugby Fives, visit www.rfa.org.uk/.

Oxford University Water Polo Club

Oxford Rugby Fives Logo

We are the exclusive sponsor of the Oxford University Water Polo Club, comprising of men and women’s teams.

Water polo is the oldest team sport in the Olympic Games though women’s water polo was only added in 2000. The annual Varsity match between Oxford and Cambridge universities is the longest running water polo fixture in the world, having run since 1891. Water polo combines elements of basketball (teamwork), football (contact), and hockey (shooting). In water polo, there is no such thing as standing still. Even at rest, the players must tread water to stay afloat. Exercise physiologists call it the "most physically demanding of all sports”.

Our sponsorship has allowed the Club to purchase much needed equipment (including two floating goals) while also providing kit subsidies and helping with training and transport.

We are proud to support a club which shares our core value of teamwork. Moreover, our sponsorship of the Club is part of our continued support of Oxford University and its students – nurturing and developing young talent.

Oxford University Cricket Club

Oxford CC Logo

Neptune Investment Management is proud to be the exclusive sponsor of Oxford University Cricket Club, comprising of both men and women’s teams.

The Club has a long and distinguished history dating back to the 18th century and has produced many notable cricketers, several of whom have gone on to captain their respective countries; M.J.K Smith (England) and Imran Khan (Pakistan) are just two examples. In recent years, Jamie Dalrymple has played One Day Internationals for England, and several players have gone onto achieve success in the county arena. The culmination of the Club’s calendar is the Four Day Varsity match - the oldest First Class fixture in the world which dates from 1827 and is now supplemented by a One Day fixture at Lord's and, in the last few years, by a Twenty20 match.

Our sponsorship will help facilitate the advancement of the Club, helping with coaching, training and equipment. We are proud to support a club which shares our core value of teamwork.
